With Lowery’s high-energy guitar riffs setting the bar high, Jourdan had big shoes to fill, but he proved he was more than capable of the task, deftly incorporating years of honed skills into a band that’s beloved in songs.
Their fan favorites ended with the aggressive anthem “Face to Face,” a setlist staple that sent the crowd into a frenzy. Although the title and subject matter may be confrontational, the song is upbeat and infectious. The audience savored every note, every beat and every curse word, culminating in a guttural and defiant cry of “Fuck you!”
After a short encore break, Qichen The return ended the night with “Rumble Fish,” “Alpha” and “Black,” leaving fans with ringing ears and sore throats recalling an epic performance. Fans weaved through spilled drinks and scattered empty cups as they made their way to the exits, reconnecting with old friends inside and in the parking lot.
