Canelo AlvarezPower and punching power may scare some boxers, but not Terrence Crawfordwho told TMZ Sports He is absolutely certain that if the two faced each other, he would defeat the Mexican superstar.
Of course, at the moment, that’s a big “if”… While Crawford has made it clear he wants a scrap, Canelo doesn’t seem so sure.
“What is your response to Terrence Crawford’s call tonight?”

In case you missed it, watch him win on Saturday night Edgar Berlanga — with Crawford actually in attendance — and Canelo flatly said “no comment” when asked about a potential tilt with Bader.
Still, when we spoke with Crawford on Sunday, the 36-year-old boxer told us he’s still very interested in shaking Canelo’s hand in the ring.
“I feel like this is a legacy battle,” he said. “I think this is the biggest fight in boxing today.”
Crawford admitted he would face some challenges if a drop does occur. He said he definitely has to understand Canelo’s size and strength. But, he told us, “I’ve been fighting bigger guys my whole life,” and he guaranteed he would win.
“Of course I’m going to beat him,” the 41-0 star said. “There’s no doubt in my mind that I’m not going to beat anybody that steps into the ring with me.”
Crawford doesn’t know when or where he wants the fight to take place…he just knows he wants to give the fans what they want, and Alvarez should be the same.
