Mykelty-Brown says she feels like a new woman after starting her weight loss journey.
She meant it almost literally.
The 27-year-old daughter of Christine Brown and Kody Brown has kept fans updated on her weight loss journey for years, celebrating her body’s transformation by showing off her slimmed-down figure on Instagram.
Like many other women in the Brown family, she had struggled with her weight, and in fact, she turned to other maternal figures in her life for support and advice on how to stay in shape.
For better or worse.
Mykelti Brown’s Weight Loss Journey: I Gained 275 Pounds
The mother-of-three has come a long way over the past five years. In addition to welcoming her two most recent children and helping her mother through her divorce from her father, she has also been focusing on her health.
In February 2024, she opened up about how far her weight loss journey has come, and how far she’s still want to go.
“Two and a half years later, I have achieved my original goal,” McKelty wrote in a lengthy message on her social media.
“I started my weight loss journey in late fall of 2021, weighing 270 pounds. In early spring of 2022, I unexpectedly became pregnant with twins, weighing 245 pounds.
Now, weight fluctuations are natural when you have a baby. Weight gain is expected. This is exactly what happened when she got pregnant with adorable twins
“Obviously, my health path changed. In November 2022, just before I gave birth to my two sons, I weighed back 275 pounds.
To her credit, McKelty realized at the time that her body “should take a break,” so she began relaxing and “enjoying” her baby until about a year ago.
In January 2023, Brown weighed 230 pounds.
since then?
Mykelti how to lose weight now
In the same Instagram post, she shared where her journey really began and how she became successful.
“I’ve been eating a low-calorie, high-protein diet for over a year. I take gut health supplements to help my body retain nutrients from food and pass stool,” the “Sister Wives” star explained.
She then admitted that she tried “different recipes” and went to new restaurants that “met my needs.”
But the biggest reason for her success is her husband, Tony Padron, who has continued to “help and encourage” her to lose weight. In fact, he plays with her!
Fans are concerned about how she loses weight
Now, at first glance, you might not care too much about what Mykelti said above about her weight loss methods. Eating right while eliminating junk sounds great.
But the mention of gut health supplements has some fans worried.
Mykelti’s mother and her mother’s close friend Janelle Brown are both salespeople for Plexus Worldwide, a dietary supplement company known for its “pink drinks” such as Plexus Slim Hunger Control or Plexus Slim Microbiome Activating.
The truth is, Plexus is often considered a pyramid scheme.
To be clear, we’re not sure if the company also pays Mykelki to promote various products.
but she Do Supplements are often promoted through social media, even if they have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
We’ve read the official Plexus website, and the obvious multi-level marketing plan is basically written out for everyone to see, as it tells potential salespeople:
Introduce the products you love to the people you love, because really, they’re too good to keep just to yourself. Change someone’s life with a great product and change your own life with the opportunity to increase your income, earn incredible rewards, and find personal fulfillment.
Love it. Share it. Become an ambassador.
Weird and questionable, don’t you think?
We just want her to do it in a responsible and healthy way.
How much weight did McKelty lose?
Now, she hasn’t shared her current status in several years, but when she spoke to fans in February, she had lost nearly 100 pounds!
“My current weight is 160 pounds. I’m not done yet!” she shared. “It’s time to start building up my muscles.” “
Did you know? She hasn’t finished speaking yet!
“My long-term goal is to live a long life and be able to watch my children grow up,” McKelty concluded in the lengthy caption. “I feel better, have more energy and more stamina than ever before.”
