Judge Mathis’ wife Linda filed for divorce on August 22, citing “irreconcilable differences” at the time and asking the court to provide spousal support.
It was a simple request, but with fans demanding answers, the internet began searching for the reason for the couple’s breakup. After all, no one has major problems ending a marriage after nearly 40 years.
Of course, like most celebrity couples, there was speculation that Judge Mathis was unfaithful.
Not only that, as the rumors of his cheating intensified, the story evolved into an affair and a crush!
Yes, the “side baby” narrative is starting to dominate. That is, people started talking about Judge Mattis having a child from an extramarital affair.

Judge Mathis breaks silence on incest allegations and divorce
Justice Mattis, who initially remained silent on his reasons for the split, spoke out days ago TMZ And in the process, a few things were clarified:
- The couple still lives under the same roof.
- He is determined to win Linda back and stay married.
- And, no, he did not commit adultery.
“This is the worst day of my life,” Mathis told the celebrity gossip site at the airport on Aug. 30.
He continued to take responsibility for the split, saying:
“Maybe I’ll be an example to another person – a cautionary tale. Don’t neglect your wife. That’s what happened, guys.
Mathis even admitted that he could understand why his wife might suspect he had been sneaking around with another woman, although he denied that was the case.
“Ignorance certainly raises suspicion,” Mathis told TMZ.
“If you disappear like me, she has every right to be suspicious. You go to work and serve communities across the country.
“Then you go to sporting events across the country with your friends, and then you go to other events without your wife. She has the right to suspect she’s been unfaithful.
What’s clearer, however?
“That’s not the reason,” he added.

Judge Mathis and Linda have daughters Jade, 40, and Kamala, 36, and sons Greg, 35, and Amir, 34.

“I promised to stay home more and put my wife first, but as you can see, I didn’t,” Mathis also confessed to TMZ. “I’m still on the road, doing the same thing, getting out and going to another city.”
Ultimately, though, Mathis said he was determined to right all romantic wrongs, telling TMZ in no uncertain terms during the conversation:
“I want my wife back.”
