Ed SheeranSadly for his hard of hearing fans… tell one of them that she might be on the watch list because she misheard an iconic line from a song.
Here’s the thing… In the song “Thinking Out Loud,” Sheeran croons that he will love an unknown person “until we’re 70” — a line meant to convey lasting love.
However, fans have been gushing over the pop star… as they ask what happens to love when one of the couple turns 71. This sparked a viral trend of people jokingly turning off their cameras – by Ed’s standards, what happens when you get older.
Never one to shy away from self-deprecation, Ed made his own video…he slammed the camera off and stormed out with his guitar on his back.
While many fans laughed, some were completely shocked… as they realized Sheeran said the word “70” out loud, not “17” like many of them thought.
One woman expressed her confusion in the comments… and ES jokingly wrote back: “You’re on a watch list somewhere.”
Ed, of course, is on his math tour… performing in Cyprus this coming weekend.
Hopefully the fans will be able to sing the right lyrics at his concerts…because they don’t want to be on any watch lists!
