Meatheads across the country, rejoice… tom brady His max bench press has just been revealed – surprisingly, for a guy who’s amazing at everything, that’s a number that won’t come as a surprise to any fitness buff.
The NFL legend performed the famous drill sometime this past week and filmed it in his weekly YouTube video blog, which he posted Thursday morning.
In the video, you can see the TB12 warming up at over 100kg… and then slapping four plates. He reached his 225-pound goal easily, and, coaxed by others in the gym at his Miami mansion, he threw two more 10-pounders and attempted to lift the biggest weight he’d ever done.
Initially, he needed some help getting the 245 up…but after trying again with a new observer, he got the words out of his heart and locked it out completely.
He was pleased with his effort — though considering he’s 6-foot-5, 225 pounds and arguably the greatest football player of all time … many expected more from him.
Then again, this guy is 47 years old and officially retired from professional track and field. Plus, when he was in his prime, he wasn’t known for his power.
Still, if you can get $250 at your local YMCA today, know that you at least have something Tom Brady…finally.
