Burbank police say they have completed their investigation into an incident in which a Los Angeles city council member claimed they dumped a homeless man in a backyard … and police say they found no evidence of wrongdoing.
The Burbank Police Department just released a statement saying that Los Angeles City Council members said the man in the June incident was not homeless. Paul Krekorian claim.
Instead, police say the man had rented a room in a house in Sylmar for years and asked police for a ride from Burbank to North Hollywood … which is where he ended up at Krekorian’s office Reasons outside on the street.
As we reported…monitor footage of the incident appears to show 2 police officers escorting a man Coming out of the back of the patrol car, the guy appeared to be screaming and/or talking to himself before getting onto the sidewalk.
The officers left the man there, got back in the car and drove away…Krekorian later accused the officers of dumping a homeless man in his city so they wouldn’t have to wait in their The jurisdiction dealt with him.
Krekorian called for a full investigation, and the Burbank Police Department now says their investigation is closed and they did nothing wrong.
Police say they have cleared the air through an internal investigation… They say the FBI reviewed the case and declined to take any action against the Burbank Police Department.
Police said the man was never taken into custody or taken into police custody and officers let him out of the vehicle whenever he asked.
When this happened in June, our sources tell us police were called to respond to a naked man on a bench and were given clothing and a ride at the man’s request Serve.
