Orange County Sheriff’s Department
A Southern California man accused of beheading his parents and their dog reacted bizarrely after being shot to death… lying on the street screaming at Tina Turner.
Joseph Gedwell – arrested in San Juan Capistrano on two counts of homicide – is allegedly seen in new body camera footage … confronting police on the street outside San Juan Mobile Estates.
Check out this video… An officer jumps out of his car, draws his weapon, and tells the man approaching him, whom police say is Gedwell, to stop moving.
As the man continued to come, the police would shoot him several times, knocking him down.
Later, police stood over the man’s body… and after telling them to kill him with a single shot to the head, he began to sing.
He sang Tina Turner’s hit song “What’s Love Got to Do With It?” …whispered, “What does love have to do with it, what does it have to do with it? What else can love be but a second-hand emotion?”
Guedwell, 79, charged with killing parents Antoinette and 77-year-old Ronald — and their pet Chihuahua in early July.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, police responded to the scene around 7:40 a.m. after receiving a call that a man covered in blood was chasing a maintenance worker … which is when the shooting occurred. Gedwell was taken to hospital.
