O.J. Simpson He has a mountain of debts to pay off after his grave – so much so that the executor of his estate says he’s taking off the gloves to raise some money, ASAP!
Malcolm LavigneHe went from being OJ’s longtime attorney to now managing his probate estate following his death last April, telling TMZ … he’s trying to raise more than $269,000 from one of OJ’s homes and may have to go through Simpson son, justinget it.
Malcolm said Justin—his mother was Nicole Brown Simpson — He helped his father buy his “forever” house in Las Vegas a few years ago, and now the estate wants to recoup the money OJ put into the house, which LaVergne values at about $159,000.
What’s more, he said the home is now worth more than $100,000 more than when it was purchased in 2022.
We reached out to Justin to ask for his thoughts on his dad’s home, but have yet to hear back from him.
Of course, to estate creditors, $269,000 is just a drop in the bucket… OJ still owes the victims’ families $33.5 million following the 1997 wrongful death lawsuit.
OJ was acquitted in the murder trial, but it was later revealed that he had committed crimes against Nicole and Ron Goldman In Santa Monica Civil Court…even though the judgment was originally for $33.5 million, interest on the unpaid debt has reportedly been surged to about $100 million.
Most importantly, OJ’s legacy has recently been $500,000 tax lien imposed From California.
Lavigne said OJ’s estate is now almost worthless, so he’s doing everything he can to find all sources of income to fund the estate and help pay off creditors like the IRS, California Department of Revenue and Goldman Sachs.
The thing is… Lavigne said he’s disappointed that efforts to collect and liquidate OJ’s estate have met with strong resistance, but he plans to get tough on everyone, including OJ’s family.
One of Simpson’s crown jewels he’s trying to get his hands on is his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring, which he says has been missing since Simpson’s death… along with one of his fine Rolexes.
He was clearly annoyed with MIA, telling us, “It belongs on the estate and I want it at my feet.”
In addition to a house and a ring, Malcolm seeks License to sell large quantities of OJ items Auction to raise funds for the estate.
