We caught up with the “Catfish” star on “TMZ Live” on Monday — and Neff fought back tears as he recounted the aftermath of his tragic car accident … and noted that he’s lucky to be alive.

As NS said…his medical team at Stony Brook University Hospital was shocked that he was even able to move after surgery…because they expected him to be worse given the extent of his injuries.
who is nev Hit by a truck Two weeks ago, while riding his e-bike to his son’s school in Long Island, New York, he revealed he didn’t remember much about the actual accident itself…but he knows the incident could have been avoided if New York had a bike lane .
He added… “The roads need to be shared. Cyclists and runners – and that’s what’s most important to me – need to have better designated spaces because… there just isn’t a good system to keep everyone safe.
He is now on the road to recovery… However, Neff said the experience was “a real lesson in patience and humility.”
Still, he told us he’s still as determined as ever to run the Honolulu Marathon in December. His bottom line is clear…he is planning a “comeback.”
