Anita Joy She told TMZ that she was happy and relieved to learn that three people were arrested and convicted of murder, but added that true justice would be to see these men convicted of felonies.
Johnny’s friend said she was optimistic that would happen because all the suspects had been released on high bail. She initially feared the suspects wouldn’t be tried as adults – and based on what she saw the night of the murder, she thought they might be minors.
However, all three are over 18, so they will be tried as adults.

Anita believes the tragedy could have been avoided if Level 8 had provided safer parking for staff – an issue Anita said she and others frequently flagged as an issue, but which she claims nothing was ever done about.
She said she and Johnny’s family have not heard from the restaurant since the murder – and she said she has only received support from co-workers.
Anita is also grateful the case is moving forward before Johnny’s birthday on August 31, which she says is a relief for his family.
