Rob LoweHis fraternity class is star-studded… because he says he’ll always be a member of the “Outside” fraternity — along with all his costars in the 1983 movie “Brotherhood.”
The actor reflects on making the iconic work Francis Ford Coppola The movie goes back to the day when I was interviewed people … Especially at 18, you are surrounded by a group of people your own age and have a special kinship with them.
He said the people he was on set with were his “friends” and “frat brothers”… and they showed off their super-competitive side to each other – esp. tom cruise RL said he’s just on another level in terms of work ethic.
In fact, Rob says, it’s easy to see the actors each actor became… starting with the hilarious nature of his own character, Soda Soda Curtis, which helped Rob in the world of sitcoms, Cruise’s character The intensity still keeps him doing it wild stunts.
By the way, “The Outsider” has many other bold names… including Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Emilio Estevez and Diane Lane.
Of all the members of the cast, Lowe made it clear that he’s closest to Estevez since the two grew up in the same Malibu neighborhood… adding that it’s nice to have someone who became famous at the same time as him .
It sounds like there was a lot of tension between this group at the time of filming…and, you have to wonder what kind of parties their unofficial fraternity was throwing!
