Quality over quantity! Zed He sat down with ET on August 16 to talk about Telos , his first new album in nearly a decade, and why he likes to make music without any “filler” songs.
“I’ve always been a quality over quantity person, so I haven’t released a ton of music in my life…I feel like there’s just no filler time in my albums. Every song is important. I’ve removed it from the album Everything that felt like there was no valid reason to put it in,” he shared.
The reasoning behind this approach is: “An album is more than just a collection of songs, it’s a listening experience from start to finish that truly takes you on a journey and allows you to feel the artist’s thought into every detail. The second one on the album, not just the two hits on it,” he said.
In addition to using this approach to further connect with listeners, the record producer is also working with Intel to use Core Ultra processors to tie an AI experience to his single “Lucky” with Remi Wolf, where participants can Digitally integrated into AI-curated content sequences that are perfectly synchronized with the songs.
“The Lucky AI experience actually brings people closer to the emotions I’m feeling in the songs… Being able to direct the music video in real time and create your own artwork at the end really makes you part of the DNA of what we’re creating for this album. Part of it,” explains the songwriter.
