LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Maxie Solters, a beloved publicist, author, actor and producer in the entertainment industry, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday (August 15) at the age of 37. Not disclosed yet.
Born in Sherman Oaks, California in 1987, Maxie pursued her passion for the arts and earned a BA in Theater from the University of Southern California. After graduation, she began a career in film and television casting while dedicating her time to One Billion Rising, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending violence against women and those facing gender-based violence. Salters has also showcased her talents on stage and screen, including writing, producing and starring in her own web series.
In 2012, she became the third generation of her family to enter the public relations field, following in the footsteps of her father, Larry Solters, and her late grandfather, Lee Solters. Lee has represented artists including Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand. Her father’s company, Scoop Marketing, represents the Eagles, Irving Azoff and other teams.
Maxie joined Scoop in 2012 and has represented high-profile clients including Kia Forum, Hollywood Bowl and Music Forward. In addition to her PR work, Salters is deeply involved in International Valentine’s Day and other women’s rights initiatives.
Maxi is survived by her father, Larry, and his partner, Carol Greenhut; her mother, Debra Graff; her aunt, Susan Reynolds; her cousin, Jonah Reynolds; her long-time companion, Dim Dobrin; and her beloved dog Dog Pookie.
A celebration of Maxi’s life is being organized. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to One Billion Rising.
