Two doctors have been charged with Matthew PerryTMZ has learned that not only did they still have their medical licenses after their deaths, but shockingly, they could still prescribe medication to any patient.
Last week, Dr. Mark Chavez and Ph.D. Salvador Placencia Accused of illegal conspiracy to supply ketamine to late Friends star.
TMZ later broke the story… The Medical Board of California launched an investigation into the two doctors, but Keep their medical license current without punishing them.
Now, we learn that state medical boards impose zero restrictions on doctors’ licenses, meaning they can prescribe serious medications to anyone, as they were accused of in Perry’s case, and still practice medicine.
The board released this official statement to us… “Both licenses are valid and valid and the board has not placed any restrictions on them.”
Speaking of the Perry case, Dr. Chavez has Make an agreement with the prosecutorpleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine.
Prosecutors said Chavez admitted to selling ketamine to a Plasencia doctor after he obtained the drug through a forged prescription.
Plasencia regularly injected Matthew with large doses of ketamine…even injecting the drug at Perry’s home. According to court documents, Plasencia called Perry an “idiot” in a text message to Chavez while wondering how much Perry would pay for ketamine.
Plasencia is charged with conspiracy to distribute ketamine, distribution of ketamine causing death, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and tampering with and falsifying records in connection with a federal investigation. He pleads not guilty.
