NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Longtime Atlantic Records CEO Julie Greenwald has revealed she will be stepping down from her role at Warner Music Group following a senior management shakeup.
according to Double the number of daily clicksGreenwald revealed the news at a meeting, telling employees in attendance that she would step down from her role on October 1 and remain an advisor to the brand until the end of the year.
She was named president of Atlantic in 2003, promoted to chairman and operating officer in 2006, and appointed chairman and chief executive officer in 2022.
During his long tenure at Atlantic Records, Greenwald played a major role in the label’s success, including its transition to digital formats and streaming, and helped launch the careers of artists such as Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran career.
Greenwald was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year in Music in 2010 and has been a regular on the Billboard Power 100 for the past decade.
Hits reports that after she leaves Atlantic, she plans to retire.
