coco goff and emilia chatfield Might not like the Olympic Village, but U.S. fencers Nick Itkin Said he had a great time in Paris…narrated TMZ Sports The atmosphere has been “good” since landing with his fellow athletes.
This week we caught up with the right-handed foil athlete… fresh off big names like Team USA tennis star Gauff, who revealed her teammates were leaving the village because of living conditions – ie. Bathroom is too crowded.
Haitian hurdler Chatfield also tore up the athletes’ living quarters… claiming the cafeteria was simply substandard.
Well, Itkin, who won his second bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, disagrees…at least in terms of how he feels about it all.
“I had a great experience, I’ve been here for a while,” Itkin said of the Olympic Village. “It’s a great atmosphere there.”
“It’s a great time and it’s a special place for people from all over the world [that] They can come together and you can see them competing for the same goal.
Itkin’s “anti-sex” bed in OV must have been pretty comfy too… because he told us he’s been sleeping with his new bronze medal every night since he won the individual foil competition against a Japanese competitor Kazuki Iimura on Monday.
“I haven’t taken it off since,” Itkin said. “I slept on this! I’m taking it all in right now.”

However, Itkin does hope to win a medal of a different color at the 2028 Olympics – and that’s gold… and he’s hyping up his possible win in front of family and friends in his hometown of Los Angeles, California.
In fact, Nick actually lived a few blocks away from UCLA (where the Village is located) and was debating whether he wanted to stay on campus or sleep in his own bed.
