WASHINGTON, D.C. (CelebrityAccess) — The U.S. Copyright Office has released the first part of a report on legal and policy issues related to copyright and artificial intelligence, focusing on the topic of digital reproduction.

It is clear that the distribution of unauthorized digital copies poses a serious threat not only to the entertainment and political spheres but also to ordinary citizens. Serious threat. We believe effective protective measures are urgently needed across the country to prevent potential damage to reputations and livelihoods. “We look forward to working with Congress as they consider our recommendations and assess future developments. “
The report stems from a 2023 Copyright Office initiative to examine the impact of artificial intelligence on copyright.
Additional sections of the report will be released in the future and will cover the copyrightability of material created in whole or in part by generative AI, the legal implications of training AI models on copyrighted works, licensing considerations, and any copyright implications. distribute.
