Very sad news from Hollywood this week:
Erica Ash, an actress and comedian who rose to prominence on MADtv and also played a key role in the TV series “Survivor’s Remorse,” has died.
She is 46 years old.
The cause of death has not been announced, but multiple media outlets reported that Ashe had been diagnosed with cancer at some point.
“I’m sad to confirm that my friend and actress Erica Ashe has passed away,” Loni Love wrote on Instagram on Monday.
“Erica is talented and hilarious, and she puts her heart and soul into her work, whether it’s Survivor’s Remorse or Madtv.
“She was always there…and now she’s gone…my sincere condolences to her family and fans.”
Ash is a Florida native who has appeared in 13 episodes of the sketch comedy show MADtv.
She also had roles in “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” “Blessed Bucks” and “Family Reunion.”
As you can see by clicking above, Love’s Instagram page has multiple photos of her and Ash… including snaps of the late star on The Real , which was Love’s show with Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai and Garcelle Beauvais co-hosted the show until the show was canceled in 2022.
Elsewhere on Monday, BET also paid tribute to Ash in its own Instagram post.

Niecy Nash also paid tribute to the late actress, writing online:
