According to a report irish independentA copy of the famous singer’s death report was obtained, and O’Connor died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma with a low-grade lower respiratory tract infection.
The new report comes six months after ET confirmed to Inner South London Coroner’s Court that her death was listed as “natural causes”. O’Connor – who became an international star in 1990 with his cover of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” – Died on July 26, 2023 56 years old.
Her family confirmed in a statement: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinead.” Statement to RTE then. “Her family and friends are heartbroken and ask for privacy at this very difficult time.”
News of her death was first reported by the media irish times. ET later confirmed British police found the singer “unresponsive” and “she was pronounced dead at the scene” at her London home. Inner South London Coroner’s Court said a post-mortem examination was underway. However, her death is not being treated as suspicious.

In the weeks before her death, O’Connor posted a more upbeat message on Facebook.
