flavor flavor ready to meet Simone Biles! ET’s Nischelle Turner caught up with the 65-year-old rapper before the show 2024 Olympic Gameshe revealed that he was most excited to meet the gymnast when she was in Paris for the global event.
“She’s my favorite athlete right now. She’s going for her ninth medal, man. Come on! It’s amazing. It’s awesome,” he gushed to ET. “I just wanted to meet her and tell her how proud I was of her and what a huge fan I was.”
Whether he met Biles or not, Flav was in awe that he was able to be there to watch the Olympics in person.
“Man, I feel like I’m having the greatest moment of my life right now. I feel great right now. It’s such an amazing experience that I’m having right now,” he said. “This is the first time I’ve been to the Olympics in person and not just watching them on TV.”
“Words can’t even begin to explain how amazing it is. It’s a dream come true for me right now,” Flav added. “I’ve always dreamed of one day being able to go to the Olympics, see it and see it firsthand. Now God has given me a gift to be here and see it firsthand.”
Flav will attend the Olympics as the official promoter of the U.S. women’s water polo team.
“My role is to promote water polo, mainly women’s water polo,” he shared. “They’ve got three gold medals now so we’re pushing them for a fourth. My job is to shout out in the crowd and feel proud when I get a medal.”

“I’m pretty sure the team really loves the show,” Flav told the Economic Times, adding that he planned to give them a formal report when he meets with them this weekend.
