LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – After announcing details of his next album, The Alexander Technique, Rex Orange County has revealed plans for a US and UK theater tour.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicked off on October 4 at the Chicago Auditorium, with North American tour dates continuing through November 25 and 26, when Rex Orange County plays two shows at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Along the way, the tour includes eight nights at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theater and three nights at New York’s Beacon Theater and Toronto’s Massey Hall.
In February, Rex Orange County traveled to the UK to play four shows at London’s Palladium Theater from February 16th to 19th.
“On this tour, I will be performing in a select number of cities in carefully selected theater venues, where I will perform multiple nights. Historically, with every album I release, I have always Playing bigger and bigger shows. But I wanted to do something different for this particular project because, sonically, the new songs lend themselves to being heard in a more intimate and traditional setting that these particular venues allow me to write. A show with a theatrical staging to further speak to the themes of the album alongside the music. Pre-sale tickets for the UK date will start at 9am local time on Wednesday 24 July. Pre-sale tickets for the North American dates will begin on Wednesday, July 24 at 10am local time.
All tickets for both regions will go on sale next Friday, July 26 at 10am local time.
