people may think Fergie gave the worst performance of the national anthem ever – but a new contender has stepped in for a chance at the title…and her name is Ingrid Anders.
The country singer was credited with belting out “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a MLB special event on Monday… and as she started crooning, it was clear it was going to be one for the record books First song.
Take a listen… Ingrid’s notes during the performance were a bit all over the place, and yes, also off-key in many places – so bad, in fact, that some of the players looked like they were about to burst out laughing.

The same goes for other players standing around taking it all in… there were a lot of confused faces – and even more murmurs of disapproval could be heard from the crowd. There weren’t many cheers…but more screams of shock and dismay.
Like we said…this objectively sucks – that’s what the internet says anyway – and of course people were quick to compare Fergie…many say Fergie has proven to be correct.
