Jon Bon Jovi To mourn the passing of his mother and to honor her memory.
Carol Bongiovi died Tuesday at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, three days short of her 84th birthday.
“Our mother was a force to be reckoned with,” Bon Jovi said in a statement released on behalf of the family. “Her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family. She will be greatly missed.”
Carol was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania and is the founder of her official fan club Son’s iconic rock band Bon Jovias well as an entrepreneur and U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
It was while serving that Carol met her future husband, John Bongiovi, Sr.
Carol is survived by her husband of 63 years and three sons and daughters-in-law: Jon Bon Jovi; wife dorotheaAnthony and Nina Bongiovi, Matthew and Desire Bongiovi, and eight grandchildren.
Less than two months later, Carol’s family received some happy news as she sadly passed away Bon Jovi’s 22-year-old son Jake Bongiovigot married to his girlfriend Millie Bobby Brown.

“They were great, great, it was a very small family wedding, the bride looked beautiful and Jack was happy,” Bon Jovi said in the interview.
Bon Jovi previously gushed about his new daughter-in-law April to era London.
“I got to know her last year and she works so hard and she and Jack are going to grow together in their own way,” Bon Jovi said of his son and Brown. “This is an accelerated version of what I experienced 40 years ago, and I think, with the support of my family, they’re going to be great together.”
Bon Jovi isn’t bothered by his son’s early marriage Because so is he. The singer eloped with his high school sweetheart Dorothea in Las Vegas in 1989 and has since welcomed four children together.
