NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. has announced the promotion of Jamaal Lesane to chief operating officer.
In his new role at MSG Sports, Mr. Lesane will work with senior management to support the growth of the division and will oversee business operations for the company’s teams, including the New York Knicks and New York Rangers.
He will also be responsible for strategic planning, marketing, ticketing, in-game experiences, and community and fan development functions.
He most recently served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of MSG Sports, a position he held beginning in 2022.
Prior to joining MSG, Lesane served as associate counsel for Home Box Office, Inc. (HBO), where she was responsible for HBO Sports and HBO Licensing and Retail. Prior to joining HBO, he worked as a corporate attorney at the white-shoe law firm Covington and Burling LLP.
