Dragon House The evil “Dance with Dragons” continued on Sunday, with a pivotal battle seemingly claiming the lives of more of its core characters.
The episode, titled “A Dance with Dragons,” plays out the much-anticipated Battle of Rook’s Rest, as the divided Targaryen dynasty continues to war against each other for control of the Iron Throne.
back Episode 3 revealed As the story of the late King Viserys (Paddy Considine) truly chooses his heir, the battle culminates at the end of the series with Sir Criston Cole (Fabian Frankel) and his The army arrives at Rook’s Rest Station, preparing to capture the next stronghold of the Green Army on their march to Dragonstone.
The blacks knew they needed to respond with force, but Rhaenyra (Emma Darcy) refuses to let her son Jakaris (Harry Collett) lead the charge, instead sending Rhaenys (Eve Best) and her dragon, Meleys.
However, in this brutal battle, two accidents occurred. When Rhaenys and Melais arrive, they confront Vhagar, the most powerful Targaryen dragon, and his rider Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) hiding in the woods. ) was surprised.
Then, the drunken and reckless King Aegon II (Tom Green-Carney) also appears on Dragon’s Back – eager to prove himself after a disturbing conversation with his mother, Regent Alicent (Olivia Cooke).
The three-headed dragons and their riders battled in the sky, and Aemond shockingly aimed Vhagar’s dragonfire at his enemy and his brother the King. In the end, Vhagar beheaded Melais, and Rhaenys and her dragons fell to their deaths.
Aegon and Yonfel also fell, smoldering in a forest after Aemond’s attack. However, the king’s fate remains to be seen. In George R.R. Martin’s book, Dragon House The basis of the story is that Aegon did not die in battle, but was seriously wounded, allowing Aemond to take over as ruler while his brother recovered.
This outcome may have been Aemond’s plan all along, as Aemond was drawing his sword over his wounded brother just before Ser Criston spotted him in the woods – perhaps to complete the mission?
Fans of the series and its predecessors, game of Thrones, now accustomed to shocking events and epic deaths. However, that didn’t stop them from reacting to A Dance with Dragons in droves on X (formerly Twitter).
