July marks the middle of the year – a time when we are reminded to reflect on all that the past few months have brought. This is an opportunity to review our vision boards and intentions, document our progress, and post content that no longer resonates. In addition to this self-work, the sun-seekers among us are also making the most of the longer days. We dove into any water we could find and hiked. When it comes to making a list of things to do in July, this month is filled with fun and excitement.

Some of us are beach bums, others are adventurers, and many of us just enjoy a refreshing drink poolside. Hiking, biking, lazing around – no matter how you choose to relax, summer is the time to do it. July is the time to set the tone for the rest of the year.
So, follow the bucket list below to get through this month, day by day. I have a feeling that by the time August arrives we will all be well into our summer groove.
July 1-8
1. Check your goals. We’re already 6 months into 2024, with 6 months left to go – now is the perfect time to reflect on the goals you set at the beginning of the year. What still resonates? Are there any intentions you can let go of? Rebuild and reset—and take the second half by storm.
2. Try new hairstyles. Summer is a great time to try out new looks. Steal Camille’s secret to perfecting her breezy beach waves.
3. Cook completely outside. Even if you’re not a grill master, you can still cook up a delicious dinner outdoors with picnic-worthy food. If you can stand the heat and mosquitoes long enough, set a nice table and enjoy the outdoor atmosphere.
4. Celebrate the Fourth of July. Attend the town’s parade, invite friends over for a casual (but celebratory) meal, or spend the day on the lake. Relax and enjoy a day off.
5. Get enough rest. Use July to get a good rest before summer ends. Try taking a nap and get eight hours of sleep, And follow these tips to get a good night’s sleep.
6. Invite friends to a blind tasting. You all know we love a good blind taste test. We’ve tried everything from the best vanilla ice cream to pizza crust to pancake mix. Now it is your turn. July 9-15
9. Start over with your favorite book. While I’m busy picking out the best new reads, have There’s nothing more comforting than re-reading your favorite book. No pressure to focus too much, no big commitments to make – just pure joy. No matter what you can imagine yourself lying on the beach reading for hours on end, this book is worth reading. Go to the library, bookstore or your Libby app and make it happen.
10. Go for a night swim. Some of my favorite childhood memories include family evening swims in the lake. take a step (literally) and Discover the fun for yourself July.
11. Take action. My daily workday walks have been my saving grace during the pandemic. Now that I know the simple beauty of taking a few walks a day, I don’t get enough. At least make it a priority to take a walk around your neighborhood. Who knows, when the weather gets nice, you might want to keep going.
12. Plan a road trip. The best thing about a road trip is that it doesn’t require a lot of planning, especially if you’re only doing it for a day trip. you have no reason not to do this! Follow these expert tips for the ultimate road trip.
14. Decorate your garden (or start one). Gardening is a great way to spend time in the sun. If you already have a garden, plant something new; if you don’t have one yet, finally start one. Camille is developing her gardening skills, but it’s not enough. Steal her gardening tips and grow!

July 16-22
16. Go to an outdoor concert. Most cities and larger towns host outdoor music events throughout the summer. Do some research and come out and support local bands. Don’t forget the snacks!

24. Cycling with your family. My family just bought two e-bikes and I was super excited to get home and try them out. Bring a picnic and stop for lunch at scenic spots along the way. (Yes, it’s all just an excuse to have a picnic.)
25. Make seasonal bouquets. Whether you head to Trader Joe’s or visit your favorite local florist, pick out a few different blooms and arrange them carefully to give your home a new look. Earn bonus points if you make an extra copy and share it with friends.

29. Go to a baseball game. Nothing screams summer like baseball and hot dogs. I just went to a Cubs game, and while I wouldn’t call myself the biggest baseball fan, I had the best time being outdoors and connecting with the energy of the game.
30. Get on the water. Pick up a paddleboard, take a surfing lesson, or hit the water on a boat. However, you like water, so don’t be afraid to get your hair wet.
31. Reflect on this month and set new goals for August. Take a look back at what this month has brought to your life. Have you met any new friends? Experience new opportunities? Learn something new? In your journal, write down what went well this month and what you wish had happened differently. Then, harness that positive energy and channel it into the amazing August ahead.
