We’ve received the latest news regarding the unexpected passing of Eva Evans.
Back in April, we learned that the popular TikTok star — and creator of the Prime Video series Club Rat — had passed away at the age of 29, with her sisters Zoe and Lila Joy confirming the news.
“Yesterday, my family received the news that our sweet, wonderful, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, passed away,” the siblings wrote on Instagram.
“Twenty-four hours later, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how incredible and difficult this news will be.”
In the meantime, we can now announce Eva Evans commits suicide.
The New York City medical examiner told TMZ this week that Evans hanged himself in his apartment.
A source told the celebrity gossip site that there was a note at the scene, but it was unclear what it said.
Lila noted that she wished Eva was still alive because “she would have better words and know how to say things that I can’t say,” Lila added this spring:
“I’m keeping it brief so we can plan the next few days, but you’ll hear more from me about how much Eva means to me and how different the world will be without her.”
Evans had more than 300,000 followers on TikTok at the time of her death, largely due to her humorous and informative content about life as a 20-something woman in New York.
She also created the aforementioned show Club Rat, which follows an influencer “as she attempts to re-enter the chaotic New York dating scene after a candid video of her humiliating breakup goes viral,” according to a synopsis on Prime ”.
The five-episode web series is currently airing on the streaming service.
“RIP Angel Eva,” The Hills alum Lo Bosworth commented on Eva’s Instagram post. “You were always kind to me when others were not disturbed. I will never forget this kindness.
Cinematographer and director Ashley Armitage also paid her heartfelt tribute.
“Eva is smart, funny, creative, loving, charming and confident,” she said on Instagram. “She traveled the world with a love and a derision of everything.”
