For fans and family, Ozzy Osbourne’s health concerns have only deepened.
Sharon Osbourne can be snarky at times, but she had a sensitive message to share with her fans. and apologize.
(and this At the time, this wasn’t an apology for one of her most outrageous scandals, but for some grim family news)
Family apologizes, but Ozzy Osbourne and his health come first
On Wednesday, June 26, Sharon Osbourne took to Twitter to apologize to fans.
Much to her chagrin, she had to cancel her upcoming festival performance.
Monster Party is a horror and science fiction extravaganza in Phoenix, Arizona. Previously, it cost the Osbornes $666 to host a meet-and-greet there.
Some members of the Osborne family will still be there. Well, there’s only one – 38-year-old Jack Osborne.
However, Ozzy Osbourne can’t fly just yet. This is medical advice.
As a result, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne have withdrawn from family appearances. Still, Sharon went to great lengths to stress that Jack would still be there when she explained the change in plans.
Osborne family expresses regret (and refunds)
“Sadly, the Osbournes have to cancel our upcoming Mad Monster Party in Phoenix,” she announced, “because Ozzy is unable to travel at this time.”
“But Jack will be there flying the flag for the Osborne family,” Sharon stressed.
More realistically, she added: “Everyone who buys an Osborne package will of course get a full refund.”
“We want to thank everyone for their continued support of Ozzy,” Sharon Osbourne said amid her husband’s health concerns.
“It means a lot to him, you don’t know,” she stressed.
Sharon reiterated: “All I can do is apologize for our inability to attend and apologize to those who let us down. So, God bless you all. Thank you so much.
What’s causing Ozzy Osbourne’s health concerns?
In 2019, Ozzy Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He broke the health news in 2020.
Parkinson’s disease is a long-term neurodegenerative disease that can manifest in different ways in different patients. Oz suffered from neuralgia, depression and dangerous blood clots.
In 2023, Ozzy underwent surgery, one of a series of surgeries he underwent in 2019 after a fall in the bathroom.
As Sharon highlighted in her post on Twitter, Ozzy Osbourne clearly appreciates fans worrying about his health and caring about his well-being.
It’s easy to think that long-time celebrities take these things for granted. And, at his age, a lot of people probably wouldn’t even blame Ozzy for just saying, “Sorry, I can’t come, bye.”
But his fans — and fans of the Osbourne family as a whole (some of us are still Kelly Osbourne fans) are glad Ozzy is now following medical advice and avoiding flights. In the meantime, Jack fans are in for a treat.
