When it comes to her health issues, Christina Applegate Her daughter Sadie is her ally.

The teen shared that she was recently diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, also known as POTS, after experiencing dizziness, leg weakness and fainting when standing. Sadie recalled that before her diagnosis, school staff attributed her symptoms to anxiety or thought she was lying. She said people ignoring her illness took a physical and emotional toll on her, as her feelings were ignored and she was told to run laps in gym class.
During the conversation, Christina compared Sadie’s experience to what she and Jamie endured, as the stresses of the world made their MS symptoms much worse than they were at home.
While they both had to deal with difficult situations, Sadie’s diagnosis helped her understand her mother’s day-to-day experience.
“When my mom says, ‘Oh, I’m kind of in pain right now. Oh, like, I’m shaking.'” If I didn’t have that, I might have said, “I really don’t care what you’re saying.” But really, I was shaking from POTS,” Sadie said. “It was definitely easier for me to relate to what she was going through when I’d been through something too.”
However, that doesn’t ease the challenges mother and daughter have had to face since Christina’s battle with MS began.
“When she was diagnosed, it felt like – not everything was over, but it was sad to see my mom lose a lot of the abilities she had when I was a kid,” Sadie recalled of their past situation. Shi said.
While Sadie said it was really hard to see her mom go through this, the teen noted that it was nice to be able to help and support her diagnosis.
Meanwhile, Christina feels guilty about her bad MS days. “I don’t want you to feel like I’m not capable of being your protector, your mother, and you know, I love you,” dead to me Star said. “I want to make you food. I want to bring it to you. I want to do everything, and I will do it if I can. And when I can’t, I feel so guilty.”
Christina’s love for her daughter has been in the spotlight many times in recent years, including during her speech at the 2022 Walk of Fame ceremony.
