A James Bond fan pays tribute to him Roger Moore A disturbing discovery has been revealed – the late 007’s resting place has been vandalized, TMZ has learned.
The unnamed fan told TMZ that he went to Monaco Cemetery, a small, exclusive cemetery in La Colle, Monaco, last week and tried to find the late actor’s tombstone. He’s looking for the cemetery’s unique symbol…a large family crest.
Well, he found the grave, but also found that the large shield representing the Moore family had been torn off… and he took photos of the bare tombstones to prove it.
The fan told TMZ he was shocked and outraged that anyone would desecrate any grave…especially one belonging to the legendary James Bond.
Here’s another shocking thing – we called around and it didn’t sound like anyone in a position to do something about the theft was aware of it!
We contacted the local police as well as the Monaco Cemetery and both told us…it wasn’t on their radar because no one reported the vandalism. Our call was the first time they heard about it.
We’ve also reached out to Moore’s estate for comment, but so far, haven’t heard back.
As Bond fans know – Moore takes over the role of super-cunning spy connolly …He then starred in 7 movies, starting with “A Matter of Life and Death” and ending with “Eye of the Dead”.
