As Shannen Doherty has tragically shown over the years, she’s going through a very rough time.
The actress was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2020.
While the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum has been candid about her battle with the disease, she’s now talking about something in more depth Others Personal and painful:
She divorced Kurt Isvalenko.
In court documents obtained by multiple celebrity gossip outlets this week, Doherty claims she was not allowed access to financial records related to Isvarenko’s archive of photography… ultimately slowing down her efforts to receive spousal support.
She also has a theory behind it.
“Kurt was allowed to prolong our divorce in the hope that I would die before he did, while he continued to live his life and evade his responsibilities to his late wife for over 11 years,” Doherty said. This is not correct.
The 53-year-old woman was claiming $15,434 per month from her ex-spouse.
She wrote that her role on Glamor was declining and that she also lost her Screen Actors Guild health insurance because she was unable to perform amid health issues.
An attorney for Isvalenko disputed Dougherty’s allegations, saying her client offered his ex-husband a settlement in October 2023, but Dougherty rejected it.
Meanwhile, the star also accused Isvalenko of living a lavish lifestyle without her having access to money, planes or their matrimonial vacation home in Texas.
“Kurt has been using the plane and spending thousands of dollars on medical spas, jewelry stores, Gucci and airplanes…while claiming he does not have sufficient funds to support me,” the documents read.
Doherty filed for divorce from Coulter in April 2023 after 11 years of marriage.
At the time, her rep explained to E! A source said the decision was made out of necessity, saying:
“Divorce was the last thing Shanann wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she had no choice.
The actress later accused her ex-husband of having an affair.
Last November, Doherty said her cancer had spread, telling People magazine at the time:
“I don’t want to die.
“I’m not done living. I’m not done loving. I’m not done creating. I’m not giving up hope for things to be better,” she added.
“I just haven’t – I’m not done yet.”
