(CelebrityAccess) — Italian gothic metal band Space-time Eagle Announced parting ways with guitarist Diego “DD” Cavalotti.
The band announced the lineup changes on social media this week, saying:
As we enter a new cycle, writing and recording our next album, we are parting ways with Diego “DD” Cavallotti.
We thank him for the many memorable moments he has shared over the years and wish him well in his future endeavors.
The statement did not provide a reason for the disbandment, but noted that the lineup changes are not expected to have any impact on the band’s live plans and studio work. As of now, Cavalotti’s replacement has not been announced.
Cavalotti subsequently addressed his exit in a post on his social media accounts, noting that it was not his decision to leave his position at Lacuna Coil.
Cavallotti joined Lacuna Coil in 2016, replacing long-time guitarist Marco ‘Maus’ Biazzi.
Lacuna Coil’s last studio album was 2019’s Black Anima, but they are currently in the studio working on new material for an as-yet-untitled album, expected to be released later this year.
