Vicky Schick has been teaching, performing and producing in the New York dance scene for forty years. She is grateful for all the wonderful people she has worked with. She is a member of the Theresa Brown Dance Company and has performed many of Brown’s dances, including in her hometown of Budapest. Previously, she was a member of the Sarah Rudner Show Ensemble. Vicky has created student work at institutions such as Barnard College, The New School, and Yale University. Her last two works were at Arts on Site and a collaborative performance with choreographer/artist Jon Kinzel at Roulette. She teaches at the Trisha Brown Dance Company’s Center for Movement Studies in New York City and taught at Hunter College for 15 years. She is a Movement Studies Artist-in-Residence (twice), a Bessie Laureate (twice), a Contemporary Art Foundation grantee, a Gibney DiP grantee, and a Guggenheim Felloww.
