Dickson Mbi Company has developed a unique form of expression that is shaped by the desire to unite, connect, learn and create through the human experience. Dickson Mbi is a world-renowned dancer, musician and choreographer and the 2023 Enowate Olivier Award winner for Outstanding Achievement in Dance.
TELLUS draws inspiration from many brave women around the world; their influence, the roles they play in society, and personal moments with their mothers. TELLUS was created to express our gratitude to Mother and the Earth that sustains us all. We hope it will also offer an apology for the damage we have caused and continue to cause.
We are looking for performers of any dance style and discipline, including physically confident actors and singers: – Experienced dance artists with a minimum of 2 years experience – Talented actors and singers, confident dancers with a minimum of 2 years experience . Research will take place in London from Monday 24 June to Saturday 6 July 2024, with opportunities for further research in August and production in 2025. But please note that we are looking for potential candidates to work with us in the future and join our company on a long-term basis.
Auditions will take place in London on Saturday 8 June 2024 to select performers for the studies, which will begin on 24 June. You must be available on all dates during this study. This is a paid opportunity and successful candidates will be notified of fees and further information upon receipt of an invitation to audition. Auditions are by invitation only.
How to apply: – Write a brief introduction about yourself and who you are as a dancer, actor or singer.
– Add links to recent performance videos or episodes. Videos must be no longer than 4 minutes and must be of good quality.
