Carrie Underwood (played by Jeremy Cowart)
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CelebrityAccess) — Carrie Underwood’s Nashville home caught fire on Sunday while the singer and her family were present.
A spokesman for Williamson County Fire Rescue said crews were called to the home at 9:42 p.m. and quickly upgraded the call to a structure fire after discovering flames were coming from the home’s garage.
Fortunately, emergency crews were able to put out the fire quickly and prevent it from spreading to the house.
Fire Chief Dinah Wade later told Fox News Digital that the fire appeared to have started in a utility vehicle parked near a garage and then spread to the building.
“It took crews several hours to extinguish the fire that spread to the roof,” Wade told Fox News. “Franklin Fire Department crews provided a ladder truck and engine crews to assist with the operation. Fairview Fire also provided a tanker and Crew provides support.
In addition, a 10,000-gallon water tank was installed beneath the house, providing a reservoir to aid firefighting efforts.
“This helps firefighters prepare firefighting supplies,” Wade shared.
Underwood is currently on tour with her, and her next “Carrie Underwood – Live in Concert” show is expected to be June 21 in Canandaigua, New York.
