“You are still the same person”
Shania Twain is a singer and songwriter from Ontario, Canada. She is the only female artist to have three consecutive diamond albums selling over 10 million copies. In fact, her 1997 album come on is the best-selling album of all time by a female solo artist. One of the most iconic songs from this iconic album is “You’re Still The One.” The album was co-written and produced by Mutt Lange, who had previously produced other classic albums such as AC/DC’s back to black and Def Leppard’s Pyromania. He also produced Shania Twain’s last album, The woman in me. In this episode, Shania tells me the story of creating “You’re Still the One.” She told me what it meant to her when she wrote it more than 25 years ago, and what it means to her now.
