Piers Morgan isn’t keeping his thoughts on Kate Middleton’s health a secret.
As the princess continues to battle cancer, Piers has continued to talk about her journey on his social media and in interviews. He even said he heard “shocking” things about her condition.
So, like the rest of the world, he watched Kate return to royal life during this weekend’s parade. His comments about her appearance divided people.
Piers Morgan on Kate Middleton’s royal return: ‘Getting back to work’
Shortly after Kate Middleton rode a horse-drawn carriage through the streets of London on Saturday before waving to the crowd from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, Piers Morgan Twitter.
He posted a photo of the young royal smiling in a crowd. He wrote in the caption: “Great to see the Princess of Wales back on duty in the parade, looking so stunning.”
The photo captures Kate’s first public appearance at Trooping the Color parade this year. Although this is her first time, it may be her last for a while. In a statement released the day before, Kate admitted she has good and bad days.
“On those bad days, you feel weak, tired, and you have to give your body a rest. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to take advantage of the good feelings.
She stressed that her treatment was “ongoing” and would last “several months,” adding:
“On days when I feel good, it’s fun to be involved in school, spend my personal time doing things that give me energy and motivation, and start doing some work at home.”
Did Piers take a dig at Kate Middleton?
Getting back to Pierce and his post, many are divided on the deeper meaning of his words. While some applauded his compliments on Kate’s beauty, others felt Piers was subtly attacking members of the royal family.
“I understand why people don’t like this guy,” one person said. X Post in the comments. “There was nothing wrong with the tweet but he had to insist on ‘returning to duty’. She is battling cancer and others were delighted to meet HRH the Princess of Wales.
It seems some people thought Piers was questioning why it took Kate so long to get back to “work.” Her father-in-law, King Charles, is also battling cancer and has been regularly involved in events since being diagnosed.
This caused displeasure among his critics/Kate’s supporters.
“Return to duty?” Another Comment by question. “Tell me Piers, what exactly is her role?”
But then, there are also a lot of people who are simply enjoying her return and letting other people’s opinions and comments fade into the background.
What’s next for Kate Middleton?
After attending the Trooping the Color parade and making her children’s first post on social media in memory of their dad, Kate is likely to take a break again.
While the world still wants to know what kind of cancer she’s battling, it’s clear that recovery is a long way off and Kate will need more time to heal.
We don’t know if this means she’ll spend the summer in the spotlight with her kids or if she’ll limit her activities until 2025.
But most importantly she got better. The world should support her no matter what she thinks.
