Here’s a sentence we didn’t expect to type in 2024: Scooter Braun just come to the Defense of Taylor Swift.
Who would have thought?
Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande’s former manager has a well-documented feud with the world’s biggest pop stars.
He’s also the reason why fans love her reissues of all her first seven albums.
In the years since the rivalry began, neither side has had much to say about the other — but after Taylor Swift received spam messages from President Trump, Scooter Blau Eun intervened.
Scooter Braun uses his lyrics to defend Taylor Swift against Donald Trump
Just hours before Taylor and her mom cheered on boyfriend Travis Kelce at his latest football game on Sept. 15, the former president paid tribute to the Grammy winner on Truth Social sent a not-so-subtle message.
Trump decided it was time to deal with the situation after criticizing Taylor earlier this week after she endorsed Kamala Harris for president after a debate.
“I hate Taylor Swift!” he posted on social media for the world to see. Now, this isn’t exactly breaking news, but what happened next really shocked Swifties.
A few years ago, music manager-turned-entrepreneur Scooter Braun forwarded Trump’s message to Taylor when he discovered he owned all of Taylor’s masterworks.
He also called out the former president!
“Get rid of Donald,” he wrote, referencing Taylor’s most famous song of all time. Scooter later added his own endorsement of Kamala in his song.

Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun’s drama never ends
The feud between Taylor and Scooter is legendary.
In June 2019, Braun’s Ithaca Holdings acquired Big Machine Records in a massive $300 million deal. Taylor Swift’s catalog, which includes albums Taylor Swift, “Fearless,” “Speak Now,” Red, 1989, and reputationcomes with the deal, believed to be worth about $140 million, type the report said.
Days after the deal was signed, Taylor came out to slam the deal, calling Scooter a “bully” who is “the definition of toxic male privilege in our industry.”
From there, Taylor launched a campaign to render the albums worthless to their new owners by re-recording her albums one by one and having the public report them instead of the originals.
By 2023, Taylor was dubbed a billionaire by Forbes magazine, thanks in part to the reissued album and her epic Eras tour.
Scooter trying to reconcile?
In 2020, Scooter sold Taylor’s Masterpiece to Clover Capital for $300 million. At the time, Swift took to Twitter to deny the news.
“This is the second time my music has been sold without my knowledge,” she said in the post. According to her, Clover said that prior to the sale, Braun requested that the company not contact her or her team, otherwise the transaction would not proceed.
Scout has largely remained silent about the whole thing, defending himself only when he felt it was necessary.
However, in the years since then, he’s lost other clients like Justin Bieber and even given up managing altogether.
But let’s just say he’s also been more active in posting cryptic digs at Taylor. When HBO released a documentary about their feud in the summer of 2024, he posted about it on Instagram and confirmed that he’d seen it.
A few weeks later, he shared TMZ A post about a party Taylor threw at her Rhode Island mansion over Labor Day, a celebrity gathering for her friend Blake Lively.
“How did I not get invited to this!?!” he wrote, adding the bizarre hashtag #laughalittle.
Apparently, he was happy to downplay things at Taylor’s expense.
Well, if we could, we’d tell Scooter: If he hopes to get back into Taylor’s good graces, he should think again.
That ship has definitely sailed!
