Is Kristen Brown ready to leave “Sister Wives” for good?
Better question: Can she really stay on the show? Sisters-in-law...when she is no longer a sister wife?
Season 19 sister wives September began with the family as fractured as ever. Following Kristen’s lead, both Janelle and Meri ended their marriages to Kody Brown.
Since Kristen was the first, many are still unsure if she will continue on the show now that she is no longer married to Kody.
To be honest, Christine has been very honest about the topic, letting fans know when she plans to leave sister wives forever.
the beginning of the end
On March 25, 1994, Kristen and Cody were spiritually married, becoming his third “wife” after Meri and Janelle.
Fast forward to October 2022, and fans watched as Kristen and Kody’s marriage fell apart for good in Season 17.
During this season, viewers go behind the scenes of their unhappy marriage and watch Kristen and Kody talk in detail about their challenges and issues.
“I think we all need to get away from each other,” Kristen told Kody on the September 18 episode of the TLC series, adding at the time:
“Before COVID-19, things were bad.
“It’s been a bad 10, 12 years.”
The mother of six announced months before the episode aired that she was done with her spiritual husband Cody, whom she split from after finally realizing how one-sided their relationship had become.
For his part, Cody revealed in the Season 17 episode “Revealed” that he mentally married her in part because she was “polygamist royalty.”
He selfishly knew that her last name would help improve his standing in the church. Kody actually calls his marriage to Kristen an “ego” enhancement.
With their divorce in 2021, many fans thought she would leave the show after Season 17.
Will Kristen leave Sister Wives after this season ends?
But that’s not the case. In fact, she not only appeared in season 18, but also in season 19.
“I promised Cody and others that I would stay sister wives As long as our show is fair,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight.
“This is what our family has been doing for a long time. I felt like it would be disloyal if I decided not to be on the show.
Christine delivered on that promise and even exceeded it. For her part, despite no longer being married to Kody, she still considers herself a sister wife, namely because she is so close to Jenelle.
“As far as Sister Wives goes, I still do things with Janelle a lot,” Christine explains, and that turns out to be very true.
The two have spent a lot of family time together over the past two seasons. In fact, during the interview, she even planted a seed that would later turn into something very special to her.

“As far as a spin-off, man, I’m totally open-minded, I don’t know what it’s going to be like, but definitely, it would be fun,” Kristen added to ET.
That interview took place in 2022, when she was only casually dating Kody after her breakup.
Two years later, not only did she get married, but her wedding became a spinoff of the Sister Wives series.
The two-episode special gives fans an inside look at Kristen’s wedding planning, being the bachelorette (so to speak), and the big day with just Jenelle in attendance.
Cody, Robin and Meri were not invited.
The success of the special proved that there is life for Kody Brown’s ex-wives outside of the original franchise.
So if Christine decides to leave Sister Wives, she has a career waiting for her on the other side.
