When we last saw Amy and Tammy Slaton on TV, it was February 6th of this year.
A lot has happened since then…both women have entered the dating market; Tammy has lost more weight; and Amy was recently arrested for drug possession.
Fans have been documenting these developments on social media and various celebrity gossip sites.
Will they get a chance to see the lives of the Slayton brothers play out again on TLC?
Yes.
We can confirm that Season 6 of 1000 Pound Sisters has been approved by executives and will premiere on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT on the aforementioned cable network.
The only real question is when the episodes will be taped — and what they will and won’t contain.
Last season, Amy dealt with the tragic death of husband Caleb Willingham … while also ultimately divorcing the father of her two children, Michael Holtmann.
“I had no support,” she told producers, before at one point breaking down in tears over the breakup. “I was trying to get ready for Tammy, trying to get after the boys, trying to get after Michael, it was just a lot.”
Indeed.
Meanwhile, just this month, Amy became the focus of an unusual scandal when she appeared to be bitten by a camel while visiting a zoo in Tennessee. When authorities went to check on her, she was allegedly found with marijuana and mushrooms.
It sounds like Amy’s sons were with her at the time, as Slayton has been charged with child endangerment and is currently under investigation.
Tammy, for her part, has been focused on staying healthy and losing weight.
“I took a lot of pictures, a lot of selfies, not because I looked good – well, I did a little – but mostly because I wanted to remember how old I was and what I looked like,” Sly said Dayton explained on TikTok.
“I thought, Man, I’m so great! I lost 500 pounds. I can’t sit in this chair.

We estimate that Amy will most likely be arrested back The cameras stopped rolling for Season 6.
We previously learned that the shootings began months ago.
Are the producers insisting on extending the season to include Amy’s arrest and other new and interesting storylines involving these loved ones?
