jeans queen action Considered one of their favorite bands, they have been jamming out to indie hits since 2016. What settings jeans queen Their unique use of retro pop is unlike any band I’ve seen in this genre, a style that seems to grab the audience’s attention quickly.
The night started with “All My Friends,” even though it’s a new song from their 2024 album It’s all here again. The song exudes a nostalgic vibe backed by an infectious melody. Vocalist Miriam Devora made a strong appearance, showing off her powerful singing voice and instantly creating a charming aura among the audience. This segues into “Horny Hangover,” the second song It’s all here againand then there’s “Karaoke,” another song from the album, which features a charming banjo riff from bassist Andrew Nitz.

After a brief introduction of themselves, the band moved on to a slow-burning ballad, “Make Me Forget,” and although it wasn’t one of their biggest hits, the song had by far the highest audience participation from their band, with many Members of the audience sang along to the captivating harmonies and melancholic lyrics. The song started to get the night going, with Devorah’s powerful vocals getting the crowd excited.
The show continued with several songs, many of which were interactive with the audience. Queen of Jeans ended their set with “Bitter Pill,” one of their greatest songs, a slow but emotionally painful tune that was the perfect end to the band’s set. The band gave a perfect introduction to what was to come that night and certainly gained a ton of new fans in the process
The next band on the list, turnover No stranger to the Albany scene. Since its formation in 2009, the band has performed in Albany several times over the years and has built a loyal fan base in the area. As soon as the band took the stage, the venue was bathed in soft, dark lights, creating the perfect atmosphere the band is known for. While this isn’t a band that I haven’t become obsessed with yet, I can personally say that if you listen to indie rock, you need to get in on it because they are sure to be making waves in the scene.
The band opened with “Tears of Change” which immediately grabbed the audience’s attention. With a light guitar melody and soothing vocal elements, the emotion of the song resonated deeply with the crowd, with many in the audience singing and jamming along to the music. The next song on the set, “Super Natural”, is one of Turnover’s most popular songs and was received very warmly from the first riff, even sparking a small rave.

Halfway through the set, “Buzz” and “Diazepam” took the energy down a notch, providing a moment of somber introspection. These tracks showcase the band’s ability to create quietly intense emotions through its simple yet evocative sound. The slow and massive arrangement of “Diazepam” in particular had the audience hanging on to every note and screaming along with lead singer Austin Getz. After performing several other popular songs, Turnover ended their set with “Take My Head,” a song so upbeat that it inspired the first of many crowd surfers that night. Overall, “Turnerover” left the audience captivated by the energy and enthusiasm for their passion for music.
Finally it’s the moment the audience has been waiting for. as action Walking onto the stage, the audience burst into cheers. Frontman Patrick Miranda proposed that they would only commit to playing the old songs if the crowd kept the energy going with the new songs and towards the end of the show, and of course the fans were on board with that. This song is arguably the most energetic of all the new songs in the series.
