Dwight Howard Not quite committed to retiring from the NBA yet, but there’s one thing about the sport that we’ll never see him again – as he said TMZ Sports His wrestling dreams are over…and it’s all thanks to Ric Flair!!
We caught up with the former Lakers center in Los Angeles this week… as he prepares to enter the world of tangos and waltzes on this season of Dancing with the Stars — and we just wanted to ask how his WWE performance is going .

you will remember, back 2022he actually gave it a try for the organization. … One of the promos he cut was so viral that many expected him to enter the industry after his basketball career was officially over.
But Howard told us he no longer wants to enter the squared circle full-time – explaining that Nature Boy told him it wasn’t a good idea for his body.
“I’m talking to Ric Flair,” Howard said. “He said I didn’t know if my knees were good enough for wrestling.”
It’s a big shame for sports fans — considering his storyline potential in WWE is endless — but Howard’s supporters will soon be watching on “DWTS” on TV to him.
And, he made sure his knee was good enough to compete in this year’s Mirrorball Trophy.
“My knee feels good, it’s just wrestling,” he said. “You’re talking about picking up 300-pound guys and stuff like that. No one wants to do that for the rest of their lives!”
Howard sounds very excited about his moment on “DWTS” … and he’s taking his training seriously — as he’s working out like a maniac to stay in top shape this season.
We also asked Howard if he’d be interested in getting into the dugout – after tom brady made its broadcast debut last Sunday.
While he didn’t want to comment…he gave an insight into a potentially interesting career path.
“I want to do comedy,” he said.
He said he’d like to make some international stops on his stand-up comedy tour… which would certainly be a treat for fans of his infectious personality.
