Being a mother is so wonderful that Lala Kent has officially decided to do it twice.
The Vanderpump Rules star gave birth to her second child on September 3, sharing the news on her Instagram Story a day after the sacred event.
“Welcome to the world my love,” the Bravo personality wrote over audio of adults cheering the arrival of her newborn daughter.
The footage also captures some of the little one’s first cries, with Lala adding, “9.3.24.”
The 33-year-old announced her pregnancy in March, writing on Instagram: “I’m expanding my life.”
People immediately speculated on the identity of Kent’s baby daddy…only for Kent to later reveal that she conceived her second child using a sperm donor via intrauterine insemination (IUI)…a procedure in which sperm is placed directly into the uterus process.
“When my life was going in a completely different direction, I knew I wanted more kids,” she told Cosmopolitan in January.
“It was so weird what happened because everyone would tell me, ‘You’re going to find someone.'” I started thinking, why would I need another person to be involved if I wanted more kids?
Kent and then-fiancé Randall Emmett welcomed daughter Ocean three years ago, just seven months after ending their three-year engagement.
“This is a path I never thought I would go down,” Kent added to Cosmopolitan a few months ago. “I did see myself in a cookie-cutter relationship and starting a family, but now the universe has other plans for me and I’m grateful that was an option.”
The reality star found her sperm donor through a California cryobank, and she’s been pretty open about the process.
She previously said she “felt the need to start talking about this issue because there are women in the world who are sitting around waiting for men to show up and they just long for children even though there is another way to get pregnant.”
During her March episode of the “Give Them Lala” podcast, the host revealed that “appearances are probably the lowest.” [priority] When talking about her sperm donor, she explained:
“I hate to say it, but I don’t need them to be super smart, because I’m not.”
Kent was open about giving birth to her third child, and at the time she also opened up about how quickly her pregnancy progressed.
“I just couldn’t understand that I was trying to have a second child,” she said.
“I thought I had more time to soak up the atmosphere [becoming a mom again]. I really did it. Even my fertility doctor said, “I feel like this is more of a meet and greet.” It’s like, ‘Hey, nice to meet you. here you go. goodbye! It’s so fast.
