Ladies, Kristen Brown has been there before.
She’s speaking from experience here, okay?
Earlier this week, the “Sister Wives” veteran took to her Instagram account to offer advice to anyone struggling with relationships and talked about her relationship with ex-psych spouse Kody Brown The trouble is over.
In addition to the video message, Brown also left words of encouragement for fans in the caption.
The 52-year-old wrote: “The post here is very vulnerable, but I’m speaking to women who feel the same way I do – trapped, stuck, and afraid there’s no way out.”
“I want you to know you’re not alone. I’ve been there. I want to encourage you to find ways to choose joy, even when fear tells you to stay where you are.
Profound and helpful words, don’t you think?
Of course, Kristen made the challenging decision to split from Kody in November 2021.
“It’s no secret that Cody and I have been in trouble for a long time,” she later told her Sister Wives.
“I have decided to leave Cody. This is a difficult decision. In order to be happy, I need to make a choice. I need to make a choice in order to have joy and peace in my life, and before I decided to leave, I simply didn’t have much hope.
“I felt strongly that this was the best option for me.”
It does.
Kristen is now married to David Woolley and is clearly happier than ever.
“It’s not easy, but there is a path to happiness and it’s worth every step,” the TLC personality concluded on social media this week. “You deserve a life filled with love, peace, and joy—never settle for less.”
In the accompanying video clip, Kristen said she remembers “what it felt like” to be in a relationship:
“I remember knowing that I had to make changes and that my current life was not what I wanted, and I knew that the only person responsible for making those changes was myself.
“But I didn’t even know how to make these changes, I didn’t know what to do, I felt so lost, and I realized I was making decisions based on fear.”
These days, Kristen openly mocks Cody and has no regrets about how things turned out.
“I’m going to tell you straight up, it’s time to make decisions based on joy. It’s time to make decisions based on hope,” Kristen also told followers.
“There’s hope.” It’s a brighter future, it’s a brighter world. It’s within your control. There are answers there. Believe me. The answer is yes, I believe you.
Amen Christine!
We are so happy for you and glad you have found your forever love. You deserve it.
