Joey Chestnut and his nemesis Takeru Kobayashi Going head to head in a hot dog eating contest for the first time in 15 years… Joey won by a landslide, setting a record in the process.
The two competitors competed on Monday on Netflix’s Las Vegas live special “Unfinished Beef,” with their faces stuffed with wieners and buns … and a huge crowd cheering them on.
Joey led all the way to victory. When the 10-minute timer expired, Joey’s total was 83 hot dogs…and Kobayahsi’s final total was 66.
This was a new world record for Joey…he won the hot dog trophy and the wrestling belt, as well as bragging rights against Kobayashi.
This showdown has been 15 years in the making… Joey and Kobayashi last fought in a traditional Nathan’s match at Coney Island in 2009… when Jaws defeated Kobayashi to defend his Mustard Belt.
Rob Riegel and Nikki Bella hosted the event… which was Nikki’s first public appearance since her husband, a “Dancing with the Stars” pro Artem Chigvintsevwas arrested on thursday for domestic violence.

Joey’s winning percentage expanded even further after the buzzer… Kobayashi was deducted a hot dog and his winning percentage dropped from 67 to 66 after weighing out all the Vienna crumbs and crumbs.
The rule calls for not dunking the hot dogs in water… Joey said he had to learn a whole new way to wolf down the hot dogs.
After mashing 83 wieners and buns, we knew Joey wouldn’t be eating from the Las Vegas buffet on this trip. 😆
