Jerry Ferrara He has a long list of names he wants to appear on his new ‘Throwbacks’ sports podcast Matt Leinart …but his most important figure in it is the New York Knicks superstar Jaylen Brunson.
TMZ Sports Talking to the former “Entourage” and “Power” actor about his project with the Heisman Trophy winner… who enjoys talking with his co-hosts every week about all things sports and life.
Ferrara explains that it won’t be all X’s and O’s – he’ll be giving a true sports fan’s perspective… as he has a lifetime of experience rooting for his beloved Yankees, Giants and Knicks.
It was a perfect match—as Ferrara points out, Leinart was a big name on USC’s campus around the same time Turtle was lighting up the Sunset Strip with Vinny, E, and Drama. So actually, these guys may have been friends in Los Angeles 20 years ago…but now they finally have a chance to connect.
Best of all, Leinart will be able to show off his West Coast style… while Ferrara, who hails from Brooklyn, is a lock for the East.
As for who could join their program, Ferrara said there are plenty of candidates … but he’s really hoping to compete with Giants rookie Brunson Malik Nabors and head coach Brian Daboll.

Of course, Babcock and Lucas weren’t going to let Ferrara go without asking him a quick “Entourage” question… though he said fans are always hoping for reboots and more movie, but Jerry explains why that might not make the most sense.
But what about a Turtle-centric spinoff? Ferrara’s response was interesting…and even considered what this man’s life would be like now.
