‘Thousand Pound Sisters’ star Amy Slayton Police say she needed a stretcher after she was bitten by a camel at a Tennessee zoo … and her wound was covered with a makeshift bandage.
TMZ obtained photos of Amy leaving the Alamo Safari Park in Tennessee on Monday on a gurney … and she looked like she was in pain, and she had a dress ready for a tourniquet.
People at the scene said they saw Amy walking across the parking lot with a shirt wrapped around her arms … and then emergency medical services helped put her on a stretcher.
To add insult to injury, Amy ended up getting arrested after all this… because law enforcement tells us police found psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in her car… and we’re told the drugs were right around the corner.
As we reported, Amy cracked Unlawful possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs…plus two counts of child endangerment after a wild Labor Day at the zoo.
Police tell us Amy had two children in the car… and she was charged with child endangerment due to drugs.
The Tennessee Wildlife Park features game drives and a walking zoo…people can pay to feed exotic animals like camels and giraffes.
Police told us Amy was bitten by a camel, but one of the owners of the Tennessee Safari Park, Jon Conleytold TMZ … there was no way she was bitten by one of their camels, and the wound above her elbow did not indicate a camel bite because the skin was cut and there was no bruising tissue.
Conley said the park has thousands of visitors each year, but no one has been bitten by a camel… and the zoo could not find any surveillance footage to support the theory that Amy was bitten by a camel. Jon also said Amy could not explain where in the park she was bitten.
Police say Amy was taken off on a stretcher and taken to a hospital for treatment before being taken to jail on a reservation … where she posed for a mug shot.
