Jennifer Lopez seems to have something to say about her divorce from Ben Affleck.
But it’s not overly profound.
On August 31, the singer/actress shared multiple selfies and sexy snaps on Instagram, writing a simple yet obvious caption:
Oh, it’s already summer.
That seems like a massive understatement when it comes to Lopez’s personal life.
The A-lister spends little time with her estranged husband, sparking rumors of an impending split weeks ago.
Lopez and Affleck even put their home back on the market in June, making it hard to believe that divorce wasn’t inevitable.
However, Roger seems to have left her romantic destiny to a higher power.
“Everything is unfolding in divine order,” she wrote in the new social media post.
The news comes 11 days after Lopez filed to end their marriage of just two years.
In her divorce filing, Lopez wrote “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup, listed the date of separation as April 26, and asked that neither she nor Ben receive spousal support.
The superstar and Affleck were engaged back in 2004, but later called off their relationship and went on to date and marry other people.
They rekindled their flame in 2021 and then eloped in July 2022, later hosting a lavish wedding reception for family and friends in Georgia.
At the time, it seemed like a fairy tale.
Now, sadly, it’s turned into a nightmare… some reports even state that the couple started having problems during their honeymoon.
By the end, Ah Fu – who has yet to speak publicly about the divorce – was completely devastated.
“Ben gave Jen the filing and divorce papers, almost like a going-away gift,” a source recently told In Touch Weekly. “He really didn’t care and gave up a long time ago.”
What an unfortunate conclusion?
Still, the marriage of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck isn’t the biggest disappointment. Anyone who has seen the movie Gigi knows what we are talking about.
