PHILADELPHIA (CelebrityAccess) – Eclectic experimental rock band Ween have announced the cancellation of all upcoming shows as the band “stays away” from touring for the foreseeable future.
In a statement announcing the decision posted on social media, a spokesperson said:
“It is with sincere regret and a heavy heart that Wen must make the decision to retire from the stage for the foreseeable future. This includes next month’s sold-out Chocolate & Cheese 30th Anniversary performance at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia .
“Despite three fantastic shows this summer, it has become clear that touring and performing has been too taxing on Deana’s mental health to continue. As always, we thank you for your love, devotion and continued support – Ween.
News of the tour hiatus comes after multiple shows were canceled without explanation this summer and a tour was canceled earlier this year.
Mickey “Dean Wynn” Melchiondo expressed the need to “maintain his mental health and mental health” when it came to canceling his spring tour.
